Thank you to the parents who came out to Frankie’s during the Fall Ball. It was a nice time for parents to get to know each other better. It was a nice mix of veteran parents and new-to-LGA parents. We will plan on doing this again during the Snow Ball in February.
Fidgety Fairy Tales is coming once again to Lionsgate Academy; this time with our own LGA students as cast members! The performance of The Prince and the Pea will be on Monday, November 24, at 3:00 p.m. in the Worship Center in lieu of afternoon clubs. All students and family members are encourage to come and see our students be a part of this amazing performance.
The final total raised for Lionsgate Foundation’s Give to the Max Day Campaign for Lionsgate Academy is $5,565.00! Once again, we thank everyone who contributed to the cause. Every single donation matters and we are very grateful for everyone’s generosity.
As you may have seen in the news, this past Wednesday was We Day. Lionsgate Academy student council attended the event with over 18,000 peers at the Xcel Energy Center. We rallied together with music, dance and motivational speakers and now we are ready to make a difference.
As part of WE Day, Lionsgate Academy students will be participating in two charities this year: one global and one local. On Monday, November 17, students are starting a coin drive to purchase goats for women farmers abroad. The milk the goats provide creates a sustainable income and an opportunity to rise up out of poverty.
Each of our prides has spent the past week preparing goat mascots and starting on Monday, students will begin collecting change. Every $50 raised will purchase one goat. So, check between the couch cushions, under the car seat, the pockets of that old coat in the closet and send in what you can to help us help others.
